Today is MT - day 8, a rest day. Yesterday brought a close to marathon training week one, for a total of 15.5 miles. With the exception of the week before the race, this week has the lowest mileage of all 18 weeks. The highest calling for 40 miles.. that should be interesting.
I didn't follow the schedule 100% but I did get in 100% of the miles...and then some! All in all, I think it was a success. We had a lot on our plates with all the house related stuff so I was very proud of myself for staying the course.
Life Lesson of the week: I was watching way too much t.v. Since moving in with the laws, I guestimate I have watched two full hours of television. I have been going through withdrawals but the nightmares and cold sweats are getting better. Since it wouldn't be polite to fill their DVR with ALL the Real Housewives (which may I add, is 3 seasons running concurrently!! Bravo, you're killing me!) and make everyone suffer through the nonsense that makes my heart oh-so happy, I abstain. The trade-off? (there's always a trade-off) I have time. Time to do stuff. Strange concept, I know. Hopefully at the end of this, I can proudly say "Hi, my name is Nancy and I have been reality-tv clean for 120 days". We'll see...
