Happy News!

Today Chris and I met with our realtor, Bret, and gave our deposit to start building!! We have been on the house hunt for a few weeks now and because we are looking in such a limited area what we wanted, at the price we're looking at, just couldn't compete with the building option. I'm not going to lie, I was kind of smitten the second I stepped foot into the "Camden". We are building with CVE, a local company and have chosen the Camden model.

We are in love. The house is perfect for us. It's bigger than our current home but one of the best things about it is the lot. Our backyard will be at least 7x the size of ours now. Tito & Bruisey have been so excited they can't sleep (not true, but I can tell they are really excited!). Bret and the builders probably think we're crazy for how big a role lot size played into our decision.

Unfortunately there is still lots to do over on Alden getting the house ready for the renters. It is amazing how much STUFF two people can accumulate over the course of four years. Kind of makes me sick. Luckily, we have had tremendous help between moving and cleaning and packing which have made this process much easier.

I was scheduled to run 3 miles today but opted for a run date tomorrow morning. Times like this reaffirm my decision to pick a 4 running day training schedule (vs. five, as most call for). It allows for so much more flexibility which I obviously take advantage of.
